Good Music, Bad Advice: Super Fun Variety presents the Bad Advice Column + Sweet Soubrette
On July 25, Super Fun Variety presents an interactive game-show-style experience in which NYC variety all-stars provide improvised, highly public, and extremely ill-advised answers to the audience’s deepest, most personal questions. One part Dear Abby, one part Savage Love, one part Ed Sullivan Show, what could we call it but The Bad Advice Column?
Featuring sensational solo performances by Doppelskope (inspired puppetry), Matthew Silver (wild-man performance art), and Mistress B (naughty balloon twisting), and a full set of lush cabaret rock by Sweet Soubrette (“one part circus performer, one part poet, third part rockstar”) in the Gershwin Hotel’s plush back room.
(SEEKING BAD ADVICE? Send us your problems,
questions, quagmires, uncertainties on love, life, loss, laughter, sex,
scandal, work, art, murder...no problem too complex, banal, or
surreal. Questions will be kept anonymous, but answers will be
presented live by a panel of circus performers and puppets. Email SuperFunVariety[at]gmail.com.)
July 25, 7:30 doors, 8-10 pm show. $10 cover.
